Xylon Guitars is the passion charity project of Dr Evangelos Himonides. Evangelos is full professor of Technology, Education and Music at UCL. A technologist, educator and musician with a love for the guitar, in many of its shapes, colours, configurations and manifestations.

Our instruments can be acquired predominantly by auction or charity raffles. The proceeds have been used to fund Evangelos' work for Children with complex needs and multiple learning difficulties (www.soundsofintent.org, 2003–2023) and his work with the Charity Shout at Cancer (www.shoutatcancer.org).

Although it is heart-warming to receive messages of enthusiasm about obtaining a custom Xylon Guitar, please note that we undertake commissioned builds very rarely, and always upon consultation.

Please feel free to get in touch and also please visit this site frequently and support our work by participating at our chairty auctions or purchasing tools and merchandise.

Please note that Xylon Guitars is not affiliated with Alexander James Guitars, located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Alexander is a fantastic luthier that produces artisan guitars, a model of which is called Xylon. Please check out his work.
